The issue that many people, (me included) had, was that the threads were coming out minutes or hours after the news broke, and that elements of the OPs were in themselves, insensitive.

Generally when someone dies, flags are flown at half mast out of respect for at least one day. Nintendo themselves showed their respect on the internet by not posting anything on their social media channels for at least 24 hours.

The least any decent person would do online in my opinion, would be to show some respect for a similar period.

And you'll notice that already a couple of new threads went up today, and people are more ok with it.
