I don't want to get off-topic, but I don't understand the "better place" reasoning. What's the point of even living if we can just go to a better place? Anyways, a rainbow is always beautiful. |
Some people who have a faith that corresponds with one of the three abrahamitic religions (especially Christendom and Islam, not sure about Judaism) believe that this world is a trial and the afterlife is the prize for the hardships one have endured during this life. (Christian version) In the afterlife you will neither feel the pain nor the pleasure from the current life, everything will be neutral. You'll be at peace. But I don't think this is what FloatingWaffles meant with "better place". (Islamic version) I have not read much about this but I think there's more passion and pleasure in the afterlife for muslims. Maybe he meant this.
Or maybe he/she has his own idea of "better place".
