Bolded - Not sure what you mean. The vocals in the games had the MGS musical score running through them, so any time I added the vocals, the MGS music would clash with The XX music. I really wanted to add parts of Eva's speech to the video because it carried a lot of emotion but I couldn't (because of the MGS musical score running through it).
But yeah, I did ponder on the field turning red at the very end. It was just a direction I didn't take. I did so much chopping and changing to get the right balance, I hope I chose good enough. It's hard to gauge what can make it better sometimes without another opinion. And I did try out an extended pause for snake being thrown off of bridge (first silent part) but it didn't work at all. Like you I like the idea of using silence to good effect.
