I liked the idea Nintendo Directs. Announcements didn't need to come once or twice a year. Especially loved when Iwata acknowledged non specific action figure too funny.
Without Iwata Nintendo might have went the way of sega. I loved the Wii and ds the moment they were announced. His idea that gaming should be simple and fun created a whole new gaming audience and reinvigorated the whole gaming community with new ways to play. I Remember the first time I sat my girl, who didn't like how often I played video games, in front of a wii. Years later now she owns a Wiiu and a 3ds and she's obsessed with splatoon. Iwata was needed in the gaming world and he will be missed.
