I don't think the USA's reign will be as long as the other civilizations you mentioned, but they are a military powerhouse, much like Rome was, and they have made several notable contributions (ie: The Atomic Bomb's conception will not be forgotten; neither will dropping it on Japan). Feminism and movements against racism will also be remembered I think. I think American culture will be written down and remembered as well; and while Hollywood and modern technological lifestyle does not seem as cool as the Romans did, it will still be notable history in 500 years. There are probably other examples too; I think Lincoln will be remembered, as well as some other prominent Americans. Who knows what else will happen in the next 500 years?
