I knew these threads would pop up, to be honest. And it's rather sad. Pertinent points, wondering "what's next", for sure. But it's also kind of sick in a way that some people care more about what Nintendo will do now, than the fact that a great dude, who created great games like Kirby and Mother and Smash, just died at a fairly young age.

He was in no way a bad CEO. In fact, he did far more good than "ill" while running Nintendo. I only hope that whoever takes charge, they do not sacrifice the core identity and "old school" sense that made Nintendo, Nintendo. They can always advance in terms of online, third party, etc. etc.....but what made Nintendo systems and games great, was not being a copy cat...it was that they never lost that "retro" kind of "gaming is supposed to be fun" mentality that made gaming so great back in the 80s and 90s. Many companies and game developers have drifted pretty far away from that these days. Not all, but many.

If Nintendo sacrificed what makes them, THEM, just to try and fulfill some fanboy wishes of "Competing with PS4", or whathaveyou, that would make me, personally, very sad.

But for the TIME being, what matters most, and what should be talked about, is the fact that one of the greatest individuals in the gaming industry died at a tragically young age.
