The rest of us loved Sg-1, Atlantis, and Universe (as well as their movies) far, far more than the original movie. The fact that this guy just thinks he can throw out decades of GOOD storytelling by making stargate 2 and 3 is an absolute joke. The first movie didn't do well, and the shows did far better. This is the thing that ticks me off more than anything in the movie/tv section of the world right now; these sequels should NOT be happening. All sg movies and shows should connect to Sg-1, Atlantis, and Univsere imo. The fact that Universe was cancelled, despite having good ratings still, just because syfy wanted to get more ghost hunter reality shows and whatnot still ticks me off considering that show was a million times better than Battlestar Galactica. |
It didn't really have good ratings. They dropped rather quickly. It was just too depressing in tone.
