The reason this game is a party game, is because that way its 4 people that buy amiibo's instead of 1.

They chose to make this quick f2p game, because of it.

 

Its time they could have spent makeing a real animal crossing game instead.

Do you honestly believe that the AC team isn't working on a true succesor to AC on the NX? This is a side project with limited resources spent. Do I like this game? No, but don't act like this is coming at the expense of a true AC game. The Wii U's userbase is too low to invest in AAA games anymore, so Nintendo is putting their eggs into the NX basket. And that has absolutely nothing to do with amiibo, trust me.
