If you basically look at the two biggest games of the year and define those as big games, then it has 2 big games a year - by definition.
It's easy to forget all the third party titles that launch on the Wii U, Dance Party, the various Lego stuff, How to Train Your Dragon, etc. because who cares.
Personally I bought exactly - Super Mario 3d World, Mario Kart 8, Mario Party 10, and Splatoon.
I even skipped Smash Brothers...but I'm wavering, maybe I'll buy Smash....if I get bored. I will buy Yoshi's when it comes out.
Even with that short selection, I regret Mario Party 10 - I'd rather play Mario Party 8 frankly.
