First off, let me just say that the 3DS is an amazing console with amazing games. If you do not own a 3DS and are looking to get one, then the New 3DS is a great place to start. However, this post is from someone who already owned a 3DS XL and upgraded. Now, with that out of the way, let me get on to this.

The main reason I bought a New 3DS was because of Xenoblade. I thought, "Hey, it's better to spend 40$ on the 3DS version rather than 60$-100$ on the Wii version". So instead of buying one at launch, I waited until April with the launch of Xenoblade 3D.

However, in the end, it feels like I ended up spending 240$ on a watered down port of Xenoblade instead. Yes, I still do play my New 3DS daily, but I would have rather just bought a used copy of Xenoblade on Wii for 60$ and then just keeping playing my 3DS games on my regular 3DS.

Then the other seller points aren't that big for me, stable 3D, meh, I still only use 3D every once in a while. Amiibo support, only used this in Smash 3DS, even though I could just go to the Wii u version. C-Stick, only good for camera control, doesn't work that good in other situations

So, what say you?

TL;DR: Feels like I spent 240$ for a watered down port of Xenoblade, not that many other reasons to upgrade if you own a regular 3DS
