Misterd, him writing an article stating Nintendo will eventually have to cut the price is about as Captain Obvious as it gets. Of course at some point they will need to but to write an article with that angle in mind is mind bogglingly a load of "duh!"

The angle he approached his article is not so much that they will eventually need to but rather that they need to now on the grounds of lower manufacturing costs, increased supply, pent up demand, competitive 3rd party games, and monetary value.

All in all a very mendacious article that I'm surprised we're actually wasting our time giving it more than a cursory glance.

He doesn't say nor imply that they need to now, but that they need to be preparing for it now, so that they don't get caught off guard when the time comes. Not bad advice, but certainly unnecessary (very high on the "duh" quotient). However, most of the criticism here seems spurred more on his idiocy than  the ones here (which while flawed and pointless, are not nearly as bad as some crap that he's put out there).

Sure, I'll grant there is plenty of illogical statement made here but they are forum members, not former senior marketing directors from Codemaster posting in their high on pedestal blog.

The idea that he thinks his insights on when Nintendo should be prepared to cut their price is worthy of publication is both naive and arrogant.   To assume Nintnedo doesn't know when to cut their price is absolutely asinine and to back it up with 6 such blatantly moronic notions it just boggles my mind.
