The wii shots do look better but not by much, a good part of this is due to the crappy screenshots.
But seriously if Nintendo are sticking to that vibrant art style then they have pretty much come to the point that any graphical improvements wont be heavily noticable. This is why people shouldnt use MK Wii to knock the wiis capabilitys, just look at smash bros, they have gone with a more detailed and "less cartoony" art style and look what they have accomplished.
