Strongly disagree. It's too old and convoluted, there's no way of getting new fans of the franchise if it carriies so much this baggage. Like Star Trek.

I wouldn't compare these two shows - Stargate was more child-friendly while Galactica was more adult-oriented. Honestly, I think the latter certainly has its place in TV.
