As for the MGS4 I agree that is a very dum prediction which has 0 chance of being right. It is very likely it will appear ont he 360 though. At this point he can't run and hide from his prediction it is all over the board and he can not even explain his way out even if it does lose exclusivity or get delayed.
As for the FF series never say never. 2 years ago if someone told you DQ was going handheld you would get the same reaction as everyone gives John Lucas about his MGS 4 prediction (except that no previous footage of any DQ sequel was shown prior to the shock announcement).
Another thing to remember and I know it is difficult for a lot of people to remember but FF4 was shown at was then the CES before E3 came about for the N64(than Ultra64) People drooled allover the footage than but that project was scrapped and FF7 was born for the PS1.
You can never be fully certain until it is a certain point in its dev stage(which MGS4 is well beyond). It could very well be that FF 14 would end up on the DS however I would place it more likely to be on the Wii provided of course the PS3 does not make a resounding comeback in Japan which I see as more and more likely everyday.
Lastly It appears to me that SE is changing its game models. It appears that FF games are going to be a universe for its own series as can be told by the 10 versions of 13 or the 2 versions of 12 or the 6 versions of 7(arbitrary numbers that i pulled from my head quickly as an estimate). So ti may even be unlikely to see 14 for a while and spinoffs will reign over the next few years or maybe this generation
