and its actually undertracked. The Witcher 3 sold 4 million in its first 2 weeks. 1.3 million digital sales were on was PC,  leaving the consoles with 2.5 million the 200k retail PC sales (assuming that is correct). VGC has them at around 1.5 million first week. so, VGC expects me to believe that the Witcher sold 1 million in its second week? sigh... VGC sales data is becoming a mockery it seems.

your not taking into account digital sales on the consoles. It still might be under tracked, but not too bad. Also this is the type of game that could have a strong second week. The hype grew alot for it once it came out and people saw the reviews and such.

even with digital sales, assuming they are around 200k. that leaves 800k between both consoles. thats less than a 50% drop. what? we know it dropped around 70% in the UK, why wouldnt it follow similar trends in the rest of the world?

even using VGC numbers, second week sales usually drop around the 70%-80% range. Bloodborne, Destiny (Xb1), GTA5 (PS3) CoD:AW(PS4), Watch Dogs (PS4), Skyrim (360). So is the witcher 3 macigally breaking this trend and just dropping 40 or 50%?

Actually i saw Dragon Age and GTA5 on PS4 drop around just 45% in the second week, and thats due to Black Firday week being their second week of sales. so they only dropped that much because their second week landed on the biggest week of Video game sales in the whole year. something the witcher 3 obviously didnt experience.
