Maybe they feel under pressure from the low cost pricing of ios and android games. Casual games have generally got a lot cheaper. Mario kart had the free game promotion too which made it brilliant value. I think this is probably also related to being in third position. If wii u had sold like wii we may have found Nintendo pricing not as competitve.
