I disagree with this. Just recently played Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger, and I enjoyed them just as much as the first time I played them (and this is probably my eighth time for FFVI and fourth for Chrono Trigger.) Classics are classic for a reason. No matter how many times you play them they're great and the memories and nostalgia just makes them better.

Also in this thread people mentioned liking RPGs their second playthrough more than the first.

Ok, but if you could forget them both entirely and play them as if it was your very first playthrough, would you? I know I would, for the wow factor.
