I follow Digitmes on daily basis (part of my job), and I can say that they are pretty reliable, but of course they can mistake but that isn't so often.

I think that there is some truth in this report about Nintendo.

"Sony to start production of PS4 at end of 2011, say Taiwan makers
Aaron Lee, Taipei; Adam Hwang, DIGITIMES [Monday 4 July 2011]

Sony will have Taiwan-based partners begin production of PlayStation 4 (PS4) featuring body movement-based control like Kinect at the end of 2011 for launch in 2012, according to Taiwan-based component makers.

Foxconn and Pegatron Technology, assemblers of PS3, will undertake assembly of PS4 as well, the sources pointed out. The planned shipment volume of PS4 in 2012 is at least 20 million units, the sources indicated."

That false "diginews" of 2011 is very similar to the new NX-speculation, both rumours are from Aaron Lee.

I'm expecting NX-hardware for November 2016, but not based on this digitimes-rumour. The window between console/handheld announcement and launch gets smaller and smaller each generation, many people are expecting new products soon after the announcement nowadays (tablets and smartphones are catalysts for these expectations) and Nintendo won't risk the Osborne effect again with its new hardware generation.
