Hopefully they only replaced it so EVERYONE can try with this new mode once it came out. And the next day or in 2 days, both modes will be available.
But yeah, very ODD thing to do. They could have also made Splatzone into the regular battle with turfwars.
Edit: And hopefully the would fix this issue before SPlatfest begins.
