What people dont understand is that nowadays, a digital game can be as ambitious as a AAA retail game from last gen
So complaining about those who care more about digital games this generation is stupid. You cant compare a small 2D game like Splosion Man to a much bigger production with a budget of several millions like Rime or Wild, etc.
Last generations, very few digital games could have been considered as AAA, because the budget for digital games was very small, most were closer to A games, though some were excellent AA games like Shadow Complex, Mark Of The Ninja, and this wonderful 2D animated game Dust, but that's all the most ambitious, and still they are less ambitious that the average digital game you'll see this generation
So it's a nonsens to complain about this and compare the importance of digital games between these generations since it became much bigger, and we now allow much bigger budgets for these games.
