Honestly many indie games have replaced third party on the Wii u. Shovelknight totally is better than anything Ea, Ubisoft, or Activision could have offered.

For me, this is absolutely true. My personal reasons for feeling so, are that MOST indie developed games, seem to harken back to what video games used to be (and arguably should be) all about: IE gameplay and fun game design are paramount. Many of them are "retro styled", or just 2D, and that also suits me just fine, as I personally LOVE sprite based gaming. 3D games can be awesome too, but I'll always prefer 2D. So I get most of what I want out of gaming from many of these indie studios now, and that's just fine by me.
