This is some good news. Though I prefer the one with the glossy finish. Oh well... better get ahold of one before they discontinue them. 1TB though sounds tempting.

It's really easy to replace the drive, and a 1TB internal drive only runs around $50 or so depending on where you look.

1 TB ain't much improvement, instead of ~400 GB (~100 GB for the OS) you get ~900 GB available space... so only 125% more space.

My 1.75TB-Spinpoint M9T arrived today. After the data-restore it showed 1577 GB (1.54 TB x 1024) available for data (OS excluded).

Here is a comparison of available space for different HDDs:

standard PS4-HDD (500 GB) = 400 - 410 GB available... depends on the firmware

1.0TB-HDD = 850 - 860 GB available, so 2.1x capacity, ~110% more than standard

1.75TB-HDD = 1570 - 1580 GB available, so 3.9x capacity, ~290% more than standard

2.0TB-HDD = 1800 - 1820 GB available, so 4.5x capacity, ~350% more than standard
