Apparently (and by all means, please someone correct me if I'm wrong), despite having at least a few employees, VGChartz had only one guy who actually knew how to update the numbers. Now that that one guy has been flaking (he may have good reasons or intentions that demand his attention, but still...), the numbers portion hasn't been doing anything.
So the moral of the story is don't keep all your eggs in one basket.
