The reason I didn't list Smogon is because I don't think Gamefreak should involve themselves in sorting out which Pokemon are "better" than others or recommending strategies/movesets/builds the way Smogon does. I like that Smogon exists, and I use it all the time, but it isn't replacing something nessecary the way Serebii, Bulba, and Showdown are.
Though it might be cool if Gamefreak allowed for a way to upload suggested builds or something in the games. Or like maybe a chart with like the top 20 most used Pokemon in online battles that aren't legendaries. Then dividing it to show the top 10 most used moves for each Pokemon, or like the most used for each type, etc. That way it the community can build a "Smogon lite" within the games.
