I doubt it will happen. The market is too far gone for something like PS4 to become big in Japan. The only way it stands a chance is if all the vita jrpgs and niche games end up on PS4. Even then it wouldn't lead to big sales. I could argue that Japan is actually ahead of the curve by going mobile. Its too easy and practical a format to pass up for a traditional console market.
