Morally, the world is more progressive today than ever.

People always clamour for the past, but really ... that was a time when women were burned at the stake for witchcraft (which basically meant anything some random guy wanted to pin on them), a good family Saturday out was watching someone get hung to death or have their intestines ripped out in the town square, and where if you were born in the wrong skin color you were subject to inhumane slavery and life long suffering.

Yeah, 21st century isn't all that bad by comparison.

Uur progress and rise in comfort levels and overall safety in Western society has caused us to get upset and/or fret over increasingly pitiful subjects and issues. Seeing the enormous hate towards something as basic as someone getting the right to get married shows this for sure.

People need to play more video games and spend less time whining about things that doesn't affect them in any way.

Ramen to that.
