Aw man, I remember when that partnership was announced. So much hype for all those games since they were incredibly varied and exclusive. Too bad Dead Phoenix was cancelled (even though it would probably play better on Wii) and most of the others went multiplat.
Still if Nintendo could do a 3 game partnership with other companies like Square Enix, Namco, Capcom again, some Western devs, it would be greatly beneficial to Nintendo. (id list Ubisoft but I feel they hate Nintendo now and Activision only cares about Amiibo stuff).
I guess Nintendo tried to do it early with the Wii U with 2 Platinum Games games and 3 Sega games. But lack of western appeal and marketing hurt the sales. And it didnt help that the Sega games were meh.
