That is true, but western developers barely push their cartoon-esque IPs compared to the "hardcore" titles. Activision already has Skylanders on the U, Ubisoft made Rayman Legends for the WiiU. They don't really make that many games that would attract the WiiU audience, or at least, they don't focus on them because their other franchises are so much more profitable elsewhere. EA has a lot of cartoony, family friendly titles, but they are still boycotting the WiiU due to Nintendo not accepting their Origin deal. |
but even then those games didnt exactly do well on Wii U either. Hell the PS3 AND 4 version of Rayman Legends sold better. You can make the argument for PS3 having way more consoles, but the 4 version was a late port
