Yeah i doubt that either and i also think that companies like ea/ubisoft and co did already got "my idea" as well and decided to not try it. Like you said, fifa already did it, so its not even relly my idea.
But maybe they will try this anytime in the future and if it would work (what is very likely in my opinion) they may keep doing it.
Games like Raymen legends sold as good on wii u as on other consoles. The wii u "problem" is just that most adult gamers that do own the system do have a other and "better" console and the children who just got a wii u dont play the AAA games because they are to young. A 2m+ children fanbase of assassins creed would 100% be worth the extra development. Just seems like third partys dont want to take that risk and Nintendo seems like they didnt even really care about third partys^^
