Which makes me wonder - would people have been more excited if they'd called it "Metroid Federation Force"? Or perhaps even go so far as to emphasise the changed focus by calling it "Metroid Marines: Federation Force" (and thereby go for the Added Alliterative Appeal)?
I'm betting Samus will make an appearance in the game in an important role (rather than just a cameo). Perhaps as a pseudo-boss at the start of the (single-player part of the) game, during the "Training" part of the game (which I think would be a clever way to construct the game - start off in "training", and then you're sent out on missions, or something like that).
