I just burnt myself out on games like that when I went through my mmo phase. Running around large empty landscapes, doing countless mediocre side quests, in a game which clearly prioritised quanity over quality, is no longer my idea of fun and I find it hard to understand why I once enjoyed games like that.
I gave skyrim two attempts as I enjoyed some of the past elder scroll games, when I was younger and easier to please, but the game did nothing at all for me.
