Why isn't Sony being more aggressive in America?

I really don't see how they are not being aggressive. Getting the COD contract for the rest of the generation is HUGE! They are using Microsofts own strategies against them, and nailing it.  The cheapest console doesn't win the war.  The console with the best percieved value wins.

I still expect a holiday sale.

Some might see no price drop in the US as being not aggressive overall. I agree with you though. They're being aggressive in other ways that promote sales WW.
