I've explained enough times. If he doesn't understand and continues to ignore my points, then I'm not going to waste my time further. Simple

Reading through your conversation, I don't see what your complaint here is.  If anything, you claimed that he was probably fine at his job aside from marketing. Then, when fireburn pointed out some of the issues NoA has had you said that he didn't hold responsibility for them which really doesn't leave much left for Reggie to do but make marketing decisions, which he has done poorly.

As for what might actually be happening, if Reggies position is anything like other regional heads in other companies, his role probably looks something like this.

Manage both marketing and product packaging strategies (bundles, deals ect.) for the given region. Make decisions, or advice, on which products and strategies are suited to the market, both exsisting and upcoming. Advocate for your region in matters of product development. marketing priority, and company focus.

If NoA is doing badly in many of those areas (they are), then as far as Reggies performance goes there are really only a few possibilities.

1. He agrees with/ made the bad decisions that have led NoA to where they are now.

2. He has been innefective at convincing the international heads of this ideas to make things better.

3. He holds little real power and all of the important decisions are truely made at the international level.

Really, #2 is the only one that could justify keeping him on. If he's making good suggestions that just aren't being listened to, than it's someone at the international level that needs to go. But we have no way of knowing if that's the case.

The one thing we do know, is that his words and actions as of late have done more to hurt Nintendo in America than they have done to help them. That doesn't wash away any good he's done for them, especially since his fumbles have largely been recent. But he certainly needs to shut his trap and work on making NoA as good as they need to be, rather than trying to tell us that they already are as good as they need to be.

Blaming Reggie for a lack of games? Blaming reggie for a lack of North American developers? These things are handled by the guidance of the parent company. Reggie isn't going to greenlight games and set-up studios without the folks in Japan in greenlighting.

People here miscontrue NoA's role and the amount of power they hold. They're mostly here to handle distribution, marketing, PR and other business stuff, they are lackeys of the parent companies. Most of the important stuff is done by the top dogs in Japan. If you are going to point fingers, point them at the right people for the right reasons.
