Reggie is pretty much saying "Hey, look... We know you want a straight-up Metroid game but we don't announce games when they are early in development so I won't say anything"
So could he be hinting at a new Metroid while trying to be as vauge as possible to prevent himself from announcing it???? I think so
but thats just how I see it. I'm probably wrong but I can still have hope.
