That's just the Prime director. All that means is that the next Metroid won't be a Prime game (which they said they were done with the series anyways).

In my wild dreams, that means no Prime game for Wii U but one for NX that will be announced soon and release on launch window to surprise us!

I'll never say never, but doesn't seem likely.
