Honestly I don't have the energy or time right now to dissect a post this long, but suffice it to say, the sales speak for themselves, they are not meeting gamer's expectations, nor indeed their fans given the overwhelmingly negative response to this E3, including a 20,000 strong and growing petition to cancel one of their announced games.

That's fine, lol, after today I'll disappear for a while anyway. :P

But, if anything, the reaction to MP:FF and that petition speaks worse of the fans, that's just lunacy incarnate right there. Game may be hot shit, fine, don't buy it. But to actively ask for its cancellation and the work of a talented studio like NLGs? For a project that Tanabe wanted to make for Metroid (Prime universe, specifically) for a long time? Fuck off. I absolutely adore the Prime games, and I didn't even bat an eye at the announcement aside from "That's it? Well whatever."

Also, E3's over whelming negative response was after an overwhelmingly positive response of pleasing fans... followed by a lot of better wind from the actual show floor. The whole E3 was a debacle of epic proportions no doubt but we're acting as if it is the only thing that transpired and, at that point, honestly its a case of seeing what you want to see and the discussion draws to a close.

I mean, this whole E3 has been a debacle. Look at where Shenmue 3 has ended up, look at us frothing at the mouth over a project that was effectively vapourware for nine years, look at use being hyped over a game that won't see the light of day until 2029. About the only good thing that came out of E3 was Bethesda and Horizon: Zero Dawn, lol.
