i think if SONY pumps in money then surely they will own atleast SHENMUE 3 as a game period like they do with METAL GEAR SOLID1,FINAL FANTASY 7,etc

doubtful, Sega is still too large and significant to agree to letting go of such a famous IP

like others have mentioned, it is similar to Bayonetta 2- literally you hardly heard about Sega's involvement throughout the whole thing because when licensing an IP its not exactly something a company wants to shout about as obviously Sega fans are going to probably get annoyed that Sega ignored the IP for so long and then just sort of tossed it at another developer to try to work with
