Well the other thing is what does Nintendo have to sell for holiday 2016 anyway?
I'm sorry but Wii U is just a dud, it's never going to have good sales, I don't care if they make 10 Zelda games for it. So that's not the answer.
3DS is declining rapidly as is, by fall 2016 it will probably be down to 5-6 million in yearly shipments. That's not good.
Unless Nintendo is comfortable riding out an entire year with their lowest hardware shipments since like 1987 ... I don't see how they just write off 2016 like that.
