I feel like you're all way too optimistic about a drop all the way down to $300 in what may be one of the best years for the PS4. Why drop the price when you have multiple games coming that would push consoles even if the system was priced at $450? Price drops are a move generally to rebuild momentum just like full hardware revisions are. If you truly believe the PS4 is going to lose that much steam by the end of 2016, I'd love to hear your reasoning. At least right now, I see no reason to drop anything but maybe the 500GB system to $300 before 2017. Price drops are a tool, not scheduled events.
