They burned us out on WW2 in the late '90s, early '00s. It might actually be a breath of fresh air to have a massive shooter that wasn't based in the modern day/near future. Playing soldiers and terrorists is getting pretty stale, considering it's the kind of depressing crap we have to see on the news anyhow.
