Most of my favorite conspiracies have to do with the US Government and their involvement in foreign affairs. -
- Invading countries, setting up rulers that will be favorable/profitable/accountable to them, and not really helping out the country at all.
- Spying on other countries, and their own citizens (I mean admit it; nobody seriously believes that in a modern digital age foreign countries are not spying on your stuff).
- Using propaganda on the general population to keep them misinformed on the war efforts; so that more may support foreign invasions. May include lying about other countries to incite fear in population (Made-up ex: Libya holds weapons of mass destruction and houses terrorists that threaten national security. Ex: Only showing the good side of war, and not showing all the innocent civilians that get blown to pieces). This way they can get more support for the war effort and get more enlistments.
- The hidden arms race. The fact that all these high-powers, despite acting peaceful towards one another, probably spy on each other and develop/research high-tech weapons behind the scenes.
