smash bros had a big number of fans.
i doubt star fox and xenoblade will have a similar impact, even combined
and mario fans already got the system because of nsmbu and 3dwörld. Mario maker wont sell much systems.
Star fox 64 is listed at 4 mio copied in vgcharts and xenoblade at 1 mio. So both together sold 5 mio copies.
Smash Bros Brawl sold 12,6mio on wii.
Also xenoblade is already out in japan and didnt did sooo well.
