Moving to mobile was their choice because of it appeals not Nintendo failing, it happened naturally.

Now the controls part, yep, they once  again where trying to get it right, but the audience had already moved.

Smartphones are simply more flexible platforms, its what people want.

Then you know what the normal thing to do is?

Prove to all the people that bought the Wii, that they need the brand spanking new and improved version of the Wii..... the Wii 2.

It has a nunchuck as well... but it works much better!

And in the Wii 2, the graphics are much better... ect ect ect.

 

That would have gotten nintendo much more sales than the Wii U did.
