But this didn't happend only with wii u JR!There other two cases,which also is a better omen and it seems to be similar to wii u case,for which its successor was teased in it's third year(2015). Also in general,only ds has released in the year of its announcement(NA,JAPAN).
Dolphin(GAMECUBE) was teased in N64's third year 1999,Revolution(WII) teased in GC's third year 2004,the first was revealed at E3 2000,announced at E3 2001 and released in late november of that year,the second it was revealed at E3 2005,announced at E3 2006 and released in late November 2006,same story!:P
We didn't have a project cafe tease in wii's third year,then revelation in its forth year,and release in its 5th like in the the aforesaid instances,since wii was a sales-beast,but we got directly an announcement of wii u in wii's fifth year at E3 2011 which released one year later(and a half)in late november 2012 as you said...So maybe NX revelation at E3 2016,annoucement at E3 2017 and release in late November 2017?
For one thing we can be definetly certain,the month of the release of the successor will be a November!:P
