I'm on the fence with Hololens for gaming. While I applaud MS for creating an alternative product for gaming. I find it hard to believe that this was their main focus when creating this product. It is clearly a productivity device, with the capability to deliver a gaming experience.
I think it's biggest problem is going to be battery life when gaming. Just like with smartphones and tablets, just using them for social,and productiivity apps is fine, it's not until you play games that it starts to kill battery life. The nice thing about this device is that you are not tied down to one spot in the house using it. This is why it is creating buzz in the entire tech industry, and not just in the gaming space.
