are similar, but the Vita game has cel-shaded characters, is running at 540p, and still has less detailed environments. I find the Vita game to be one of its better looking titles. 

When you compare them side by side Digimon does look better overall.

Maybe aesthetically, but cel-shaded characters with lower shadow quality, and less detailed textures is not technically better. Compare the brick work in the Vita city with the brick work and the shops to that in SMT X FE for example. And he did say 2011 Vita title, not one of its best looking titles to date.
