This isn't a punch in the face. This is a spin off game. If you think this is a generic shooter, you think all of Prime is generic shooting, because this is literally just Prime combat in a bubble. This doesn't play anything like other shooters because the combat and controls are nothing like real shooters. You aren't even aiming at anything, you're locking on, which is the whole point of being a "generic" shooter. |
The Prime trilogy games didn't have chibi GF soldiers. If this game wants to belong to the Prime canon than it has to use the established (and vastly superior) artstyle. But it doesn't.
The Prime trilogy has a vast interconnected world where you can explore and backtrack for new powerups or story progression. This game has none of that. There is no progression in story or powerups.
The Prime trilogy had a background story unlocked through a scan system. This game has not.
The Prime trilogy has Samus in the leadrole. This game has not.
The Prime trilogy was good. This game won't be.
The Prime trilogy had strafing. I doubt this game has it.
The Prime Trilogy had good graphics for the system they were on. This game looks awful.
This will be a generic FPS with an awkward control system because it's on a handheld.
This will be the third game in the Metroid series I'll ignore and deny its existence.
