Just because u don't personally like them doesn't make them shovelware, there are many different demographics outside of the 13-35 year old male audience that Xbox/Playstation cater to. Kids, females, families are audiences that Nintendo aims for, games like Happy Home Designer or Art Academy may seem like shovelware to u but to a 9 year old girl, they may be the best games around, same goes for something like Pokémon Rumble World or Little Battlers for a 6 year old boy, then u also have things like Super Mario Maker that may appeal to a 20-something female or Majora's Mask 3D & Xenobalde X that appeals to a 30 year old male, games like Mario Party & Splatoon that can be enjoyed by the whole family playing together. Nintendo wouldn't have sold 60+ million units of hardware so far this generation if their games were shovelware. |
they sold because of their good games. Pokemon, mario/mario kart, smash, zelda, xenoblade.
I doubt home designer will sell any systems, like 80% of games in your list.
