It could, if it he console was simular enough, for there to be no reason for 3rd party not to support it.
That means they have to go with x86, GCN, and gpu about as strong as the xbox ones.
Or they could make a weaker console, still faster than the Wii U, thats sold alot cheaper than the wii u was.....
which means not useing a gamepad as a controller.
But yes, more console power generally means more sales.
People always want new and better. If you can demonstrate the use for it, and its priced right.
