Oh look, practically every single Nintendo studio is in active development of a game releasing this year or next year or has just released a game within the past six months.

How can you ask what the hell Monolith Soft has been doing for the past year? They were finishing making Xenoblade X. It just released two months ago. Uh, duh?

So it seems like the only two studios unaccounted for are Retro and GameFreak. It seems like this E3 made everyone forget about games released beforehand.

Let's take a little closer look though.

EAD Tokyo: Captain Toad (released 6 months ago), Majora's Mask 3D (released 4 months ago), unrevealed 3D Mario game (still in development, likely for NX)

Multiple titles, are hard at work on Mario NX or whatever. This is true, these guys are doing their job.

EAD 1: Mario Kart 8 DLC (released 2 months ago)

You don't hold up production of a development team just to make Mario Kart DLC. Notice EAD Tokyo (above) multitasking, I assure you EAD 1 is on to something else. And while the DLC released 2 months ago, the game released over a year ago, and probably a year and a half since it was in active development and not just post production debugging.

EAD 2: Splatoon (released 2 weeks ago), Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer (releasing this year), Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival (releasing this year)

Yet again, these guys are good to go. Keeping busy, making games. Wish they would have made a true AC for Wii U, but the point is they're busy.

EAD 3: Zelda TriForce Heroes (releasing this year), Zelda Wii U (releasing next year)

I freaking hope they are using their full resources and time for this game alone.

EAD 4: Super Mario Maker (releasing this year)

Super Mario Maker (while awesome) was more than likely a side development project. The assets were already all there, they just had to put them all in one game and make it function. It's just bad resource management if Mario Maker is all they've been doing.

EAD 5: Star Fox Zero (releasing this year), Miyamoto's projects (releasing soon, little information for now)

Platinum is making Star Fox Zero, doubt EAD 5 is doing much at all (at least on this game). It is a retelling of Star Fox for Super Nintendo with better graphics and a transformable Arwing mechanic. Yusuke Hashimoto's team is by far ready to handle the task. As for Miyamoto's projects, I thought they were just supposed to be visuals of things that are supposed to be a part of Star Fox Zero.

Both RELEASED 5 months ago, but yet again active development should have ended around 7 or 8 months ago with a small crew to debug and the others should have moved on to another project. They should have had something to show.

They really needed to show something off. I thought they were making a Wii U game engine as well. Well, the gen is almost over... They need to get their asses in gear.

So at least another 6 games could have had enough development time to have SOMETHING to show, 7 if we count EAD Tokyo and say that Mario NX should have waited a little longer for development.
